Yes, it’s true! NYFW is back in town! Covid had its own huge impact even on the fashion industry. Time to be back on the catwalk, with the good-old, traditional live fashion shows (see pictures from the New York Fashion Week September 2021).
The latest live fashion show was in February 2020. We took our fashion dose digitally, with live streams, but of course, it’s just not as effective, and enjoyable for that matter! Fashion and restrictions never go hand-in-hand well. After a good 1,5 years, sleeping eyes open, now finally in this great month of September, the fashion week is back on the NYC streets again with crazy colors and insane mixes of patterns.
The New York Fashion Week started on the 7th and ends on the 12th. Look forward to seeing our designer’s latest collections! If getting there was not an option, watch the shows online on the New York Fashion Week website: nyfw.com.
Despite the NYFW 2021 is not as booming as previous years, due to the still ongoing Covid restrictions, we are still totally excited! All attendees including models, photographers, makeup artists, hairdressers have to prove that they are vaccinated with the Clear Health Pass app. There are even restrictions on makeup tools; after each use, these are being sterilized or disposed off. Masks are – of course- a must indoors. Many shows will be outdoors, fortunately, like in Battery Park and Mercer Street.

Unfortunately, Marc Jacobs, Pyer Moss, Tommy Hilfiger, and Ralph Lauren won’t join this New York Fashion Week.
